Kendall County accepts $1.47 million CDBG‑MIT grant for generators, culvert and drainage work

Kendall County’s Commissioners’ Court voted to accept a $1,472,800 Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG‑MIT) award through the Texas General Land Office to fund several county infrastructure projects. The grant was presented to the Court as a multi‑purpose mitigation award to be used for purchasing generators, replacing the Mill Dam Road culvert, installing swing gates at a low‑water crossing, preparing a countywide drainage plan and performing channel restoration at the High Street bridge in Comfort. The motion, made by Commissioner Richard Chapman and seconded by County Judge Shane Stolarczyk, carried on a 5‑0 vote.
