Commissioners authorize multiple RFPs for road reconstruction and county services

Purchasing Agent Kristy Engeldahl and Public Works staff presented a series of procurement actions the court approved to move county infrastructure and services into the bid phase. Approved items included RFPs for reconstruction of ECR 130 (phase 1), WCR 140 (phase 1), and ECR 90; an RFP for asphalt tank installation (exceeding $100,000); an RFP for towing, storage, and disposal of abandoned property in county rights‑of‑way; and authorization of Task Work Order GFT2026‑002 with GFT Infrastructure, Inc. to assist with Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant work.
Commissioner motions to go out for bid and to approve the task work order were made and passed unanimously. The court also approved a best‑and‑final‑offer (BAFO) request for the Fuel Card Services RFP (26MCO667) after receiving three responses, seeking potential additional savings.
