BCA schedules logic-and-accuracy testing and secures plan for machine setup

The Clerk told the Board that logic-and-accuracy testing and the securing of voting machines will be conducted in the clerk’s office at 2:00 a.m. on Aug. 6 and emphasized the session is an open public space anyone may attend. “The testing and the securing of the, machines… that'll be done, in the clerk's office at 02:00 on August 6th,” the Chair confirmed during the agenda review.

Members discussed whether the equipment should be set up in advance or assembled together for training. Staff recommended assembling parts, then setting up and running a demonstration together so poll workers are familiar with the omniballot accessible marking device and the tabulator. The Clerk said Omniballot staff had completed initial logic and accuracy testing and that one accessible device will be available at each site, plus an extra for November. The board scheduled a hands-on session Friday morning ahead of the election and confirmed pre-counting and verification steps for absentee ballots.
