County approves addendum for Techshare/Xtract cloud hosting; DA says cloud server costs to be covered from budget

The court approved an addendum to the county’s Extract Systems contract to reflect migration from an on‑premises Techshare environment to a cloud-based instance hosted in Azure. District Attorney Jason explained the change is mainly an accounting and contracting clarification to reflect virtual server time and cloud processing costs, and he said the county is not being asked for new funds at this time.
Jason told the court that the vendor supplied testing estimates and that server-time was roughly estimated at $120–$155 per month based on volume; he said an annual maintenance line (as presented) was part of the existing budget. "This addendum is simply to just recognize the fact that some portion of the monies we pay Extract are for that virtual server time and the Azure environment that sits in," he said. The court approved the addendum 5–0.
