Operations staff and contractors told the board repair work at Grindstone has reduced outages and improved access but weather stopped parts of the project for the season. On technical failures, the waveguide transmission line pump and dehydrator at Lamoille failed and were repaired, and crews completed ground work including drainage ditches and gravel where needed. "We did have 1 item failure that needed immediate attention is a waveguide transmission line pump and dehydrator. That work is completed," the operations speaker said.
Staff also described an interducting installation of six 6‑inch conduits to organize customer and district lines (quoted at about $13,000). The contractor punch list for the new tower includes permits, engineering as‑built documents, soil surveys and grouting of anchor bolts; only the last 40 feet of the waveguide ladder remains before the tower closeout, and fieldwork will resume as soon as weather permits.
