Commission accepts multiple county agreements, including $218,000 Legacy Link commitment and transportation study

Union County commissioners reviewed and accepted a series of agreements and contracts covering senior services, a transportation study, photographic services, insurance and leases. Speaker 3 read each contract and described key terms before the commission acknowledged them on the agenda.

Among the items, Speaker 3 described a Legacy Link agreement committing $218,000 in local funds to operate the senior center for FY2026–2027 and said the county accepted an agreement with the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission to complete a transportation study to aid planning for Union County and nearby towns. The county also presented a Dixon Photography seasonal-services agreement (no cost to the county) and a Southern Peach arrangement that will remit 10% of sales generated in connection with recreation programs back to the county.

Other items included a $589.50 contract with Umass Incorporated for reappraisal services, a copier lease at $119 per month, and multiple short-term leases and quick-claim instruments read into the record.
