Tim Clark told the board that the county had received a resignation letter from EMA Director Chad Jenkins and that Jenkins' last day would be Feb. 2, 2026. Commissioners voted to appoint Cad Jenkins as interim EMA Director through February 2; the appointment passed 2–1 (Clark yes, Sanders no, Patrick yes).
