Allison and procurement staff explained that Comtech LLC was the sole bidder on the RFB for a communications tower ($188,592.95) and recommended award; the court approved the award 5–0. The court also approved an award to American Cajun Furniture Solutions for moving services for the county records center ($236,920) following a staff review of references and timeline considerations. A separate ARPA‑funded infrastructure purchase (Ford and Weaver Technologies) was approved as a sole bidder at roughly $332,697.82. CDW Government LLC was approved as the sole bidder for a Cisco appliance and associated upgrades at $130,196.25, and a Palo Alto perimeter and remote‑site firewall/router package ($392,367.77) was approved to support disaster recovery planning.
IT staff described the Cisco and firewall work as part of an overall disaster recovery and network resiliency plan. David (IT) said the Cisco procurement includes appliances and software to update county network infrastructure.
