Jeremy Allen, identified in the minutes as Simplot’s location manager in Jerome, asked whether the county-owned property in Wendell could be sold to Simplot. Sheriff Gough told Allen there is a Flock camera installed on a pole on the property and asked whether a sale would create an issue; the sheriff said it "shouldn't be a problem." Commissioner Mark Bolduc said he would obtain a land appraisal to determine market value and present the findings at the next board meeting.
The board took no immediate action to sell or transfer the parcel; Commissioners asked staff to begin an appraisal so the board can consider market value and any operational impacts (including the presence of county-owned equipment) at a future meeting.
