Vernon County accepts multiple service bids; hay baling motion passes with one abstention
The commission approved contracts for hay baling, pest control, trash hauling for events, printing of legal notices, and rock supplies; the hay-baling vote recorded one abstention by Commissioner Wolfe.

At the Dec. 11 meeting the Vernon County Commission approved a series of service contracts. Commissioner Cindy Thompson moved to accept Jim Erwin's hay-baling bid at $175 per year; Commissioner Joe Wilson seconded and the motion passed with Thompson and Wilson voting yes and Commissioner Everett L. Wolfe abstaining. The commission also approved Midwest Pest Solutions for pest control at $225 per month and DB Disposal LLC for trash hauling at $515 per month plus $100 per dumpster for special events.
