Commissioners approve split and rezoning for Black Hawk campground
Planning & Zoning recommended and the Board approved a split of the Black Hawk campground parcel—rezoning the campground portion from commercial to A2—after staff said the owner plans to sell the campground and keep the house; the motion passed unanimously as Ordinance #2024-12-2-1.

Planning & Zoning staff member Zeiner told commissioners that the owner of the Black Hawk campground seeks to split the campground parcel and rezone the campground portion from commercial to A2 so the owner can sell the campground while retaining the house. Zeiner said the Plan Commission gave a favorable recommendation and no members of the public opposed the request.
