Council awarded Robinson & Owen a $993,033 contract to reconstruct the Rope Street pump station, including new pumps, generator/electrical systems and temporary bypass pumping; staff said aging 25‑year equipment required the upgrade and remote monitoring will be added.

Public Works presented the Rope Street pump station replacement, explaining the existing equipment is approximately 25 years old and failing regularly. Staff said the project requires a temporary duplex bypass pumping system so the wet well can be taken offline during modifications, and includes new pumping equipment, electrical panels, controls and a fiber connection for remote monitoring.
