County IT plans cloud migration, Daniels Law workflow and drafts AI use policy
Calumet County GIS staff reported plans to migrate GIS hosting from AWS to Microsoft Azure, implement workflows to meet Daniels Law requirements, and presented a draft AI use policy that has not yet been approved.

During the department report Andy Hess said the Land Information Office will migrate GIS hosting from Amazon Web Services to Microsoft Azure and that workflows are being set up to comply with Daniels Law. Hess also said the office has written a draft AI use policy for the county, but that the policy has not yet been approved.
