Ruston Fire Department reports March incidents, volunteer hours and new EMT
The Fire Department reported 28 YTD incidents, nine incidents in March (2 fire/service, 7 medical aid), March volunteer hours of 1,711 (YTD 4,897), roster at 22 of 25, a new EMT hire (Patrick Tuohy), and new live-burn instructor certifications for both lieutenants.

Ruston Fire Chief Bruce Allen presented the March 2025 monthly review at the April 15 council meeting. The report lists 28 year-to-date incidents, nine incidents in March (2 fire/service calls and 7 medical-aid calls), volunteer hours for March at 1,711 and a year-to-date total of 4,897, with a membership roster showing 22 of 25 positions filled (18 members, 4 officers).
