The City of Ruston Council elected Councilmember Hedrick as Mayor Pro Tem at the start of its April 15, 2025 meeting. City Clerk Mario A. Ortega called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM; Councilmember Syler moved to elect Hedrick, Councilmember Huson seconded, and the motion passed 5-0.
