EDA selects Altigen Energy for natural gas pipeline feasibility study

Patrick County's Economic Development Authority selected Altigen Energy from two RFP responses to conduct a natural gas feasibility study and authorized advancing $100,000 pending a signed contract and County reimbursement.
James Houchins, Director of Economic Development & Tourism, told the Authority that two firms responded to the Request for Proposal for a natural gas pipeline study and that Altigen Energy was selected after reviews by Houchins, Noah Mabe and Rodney Overby. The grant award of $100,000 is currently held by the County, which was the award recipient.
The board agreed to advance payment to Altigen from the Authority's accounts and then request reimbursement from the County after execution of the professional services agreement. The motion to authorize payment passed unanimously.
