Cass County adopts updated Emergency Operations Plan
The Cass County Commission unanimously adopted an updated Emergency Operations Plan that staff said meets 2025 guidance; commissioners voted 2-0 to approve the plan, which county staff described as costly but current.

The Cass County Commission voted to adopt Resolution 26-09, approving the county's updated Emergency Operations Plan on Feb. 4, 2026. Justin, an emergency management staff member who presented the plan, told commissioners the document is "one of the most expensive plans" he had seen but also "one of the only plans I've ever seen [that is] fully up to date to 2025 standards." The resolution passed with two votes in favor and zero against.
