Commissioners back FEMA mapping work and approve Caddy Minor Subdivision amendment

Hayley Ruland, Planning and Zoning Director, presented the Caddy Minor Subdivision second amendment and recommended approval subject to Planning and Zoning conditions. Commissioner Bradley moved to recommend approval and the board approved the motion 4-0. Ruland also sought a letter of support for FEMA to continue floodplain mapping in Sublette County; Commissioner Bradley moved to sign the letter of support and the motion passed 4-0.
Ruland requested the board consider a proposed moratorium on tower permits; Attorney Clayton Melinkovich was asked to investigate the legal framework for a moratorium and report back to the commissioners. Planning and Zoning will additionally work on draft regulation for the official use of any new floodplain maps.
