Sheriff’s reports, seized-property policy changes and excess-fee transfers approved
At the Feb. 17 meeting the Fiscal Court received monthly reports from the sheriff and jailer, approved changes to the sheriff’s seized-property storage policy and accepted sheriff excess fees with transfers to return funds to the sheriff; all actions passed unanimously.

Sheriff Bill Elliotte provided his monthly report to the Whitley County Fiscal Court, followed by reports from Jailer Jason Wilson and Emergency Management Director Jerry Rains. Darrell Hurst, listed in the minutes as Opioid Response Coordinator, also provided a monthly report. The minutes record receipt of these reports but do not include their detailed content.
