The Lakeview Town Council approved a contract on Oct. 14, 2025 with the Lake County Sheriff's Office intended to establish a long-term partnership for law enforcement services and to provide continuous (24-7) coverage. The council recorded a unanimous vote: Mayor Kevin Sims moved for approval and Council President Wishart seconded; the motion carried with five aye votes.
