Michelle Miller, the county emergency-management contact, told commissioners the state Emergency Operations Center (EOC) had moved back to "a level 3" and that the region is closing out grants related to recent fires. "The state EOC has moved back to a level 3," Miller said, and she noted ongoing coordination with Colorado on the Snyder Fire and other incidents.
Miller also mentioned a state drought declaration is on file and asked whether the county wanted to continue its own declaration on record; she referenced the governor's executive order limiting fireworks in some areas while stressing that restrictions vary by municipality and land manager. Commissioners discussed campfire questions and were advised to check with the county fire warden for local details.
