City Administrator Max Baker told council members the city published abandoned-vehicle and parking code sections, will prioritize education with Oak Ridge PD before enforcement, and that Public Works abated a property with hazardous vegetation after giving extra time to owners.

City Administrator Max Baker updated the Council on code-enforcement efforts, saying the City published code sections 6.01 and 6.05 (abandoned vehicles and parking regulations) in the Bridge newsletter and will coordinate with Oak Ridge Police Department on education before enforcement. "Baker emphasized that education would come before enforcement, with warnings giving people time to correct issues before citations or towing," the minutes state.
