Commissioners approve Doucet contract for FEMA mitigation work after contract language revised

The Coryell County Commissioners Court voted to accept a revised contract with Doucet for FEMA hazard-mitigation grant work, ending discussion after a short closed session. Commissioner Weddle moved to accept the agreement and Commissioner Basham seconded; the motion carried by voice vote.
County finance staff told the court the only substantive change to the contract was removal of cost-plus language so the contract will be a not-to-exceed amount with specified hourly rates and a $500 reproduction charge. "The only changes that will be made is the language regarding the cost plus will be removed so that the contract amount will be this not to exceed with the hourly rate and the $500 for reproduction cost," Mister Belt said. Court staff said mandatory 2 CFR provisions will be attached to the back of the agreement.
The judge confirmed the revised, signed copy would be circulated to the court before final execution. The court adjourned after the vote; no further schedule was announced for this contract.
