Elementary principal outlines state testing schedule, thanks local donors

Kellie Ehler, elementary principal for Pawnee Independent School District, told the board on April 14 that state testing for grades 3–5 began April 13 (ELA) and that additional assessments include 5th‑grade writing on April 16, 5th‑grade science April 20–21, and 3rd–5th grade math April 22–23. "We would like to thank the First Baptist Church of Pawnee and Sonic for bringing all of the elementary staff drinks and snacks last week," Ehler said.
Ehler also reviewed spring events and promotions: Bears Outdoors on May 11, elementary award assemblies on May 13 (with times for Pre‑K through grade 4), and 5th‑grade promotion on May 14 at 1:00 p.m. The principal flagged several field trips and early-release dates and asked the board to note the testing schedule during the district assessment window.
