Oklahoma County officials updated the infrastructure advisory on elevator repairs across county facilities and approved a temporary staffing plan to help maintain service at the jail. Bill, the owner's representative for the PBA American Rescue Plan projects, said JJC elevator work "has started" and that the project remains "still on track for October 5 completion." The courthouse elevator is complete but awaiting the state labor department inspection before public use.
Committee members pressed for details about the Annex and jail elevators. Bill said the Annex's third elevator is awaiting a reordered breaker and that Kone is on site waiting for the part. Keith (county facilities staff) outlined a temporary coverage plan: "Kone has a man available beginning the week of August 1," and county funds have been encumbered to pay for CONAE/contractor staff to be on site Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to address operational issues and keep detailed cause-and-effect records. The board moved to receive the update by voice vote.
