Purdue Extension regional leader outlines expanded programming and fair participation

Becky Marble, the new Purdue Extension regional operational leader assigned to Delaware County, introduced herself and outlined plans to expand programming and community development services in the county.
Marble thanked the council for its investment in the fairgrounds and reported event statistics for the recent fair: 92 approved adult volunteers, about 312 4‑H members, 154 county‑only static project entries, 417 state‑fair‑eligible static projects, 71 garden projects eligible for state fair, and 665 animal entries. She encouraged council members to visit the Extension office and engage with programming.
Council members thanked Extension staff for their work on the fair and for outreach to the community. Marble said Extension services for 2027 will be budgeted based on population and urged members to contact the office for partnership opportunities.
