Council okays contract amendment to speed water‑meter replacements

Council approved an amendment to the meter-replacement arrangement so Sustainability Partners can contract UMS to install the village’s replaced meters. Staff told the council an early estimate of approximately 200 full replacements grew to about 500 after project work began and that UMS has already completed roughly 100 installs; staff said contracting through Sustainability Partners should be more efficient and would be done "at no additional cost."
