The board approved adding a career development facilitator position to Michigan Works' staff, fully funded by grant dollars awarded by SEMCA (Southeast Michigan Community Alliance). A Michigan Works representative explained the role — often called a career coach — will perform case management, manage workshop calendars and carry a partial caseload of PATH clients referred by the Department of Health and Human Services.
