PSC approves slight decrease to Pepco and Delmarva green rider rates for home EV charging

Kevin Oster, representing commission staff, explained proposed green rider rate revisions submitted by Delmarva Power & Light and Pepco to update the green option for residential EV charging. Staff said the filing reflects a slight decrease to 0.1638¢ per kilowatt-hour and recommended approval.
Utility representatives requested one clerical correction to staff materials (a mistaken effective date on a staff worksheet), which was corrected on the record. After that fix, commissioners voted to accept the tariff revisions effective August 1, 2026.
