The Commission announced a short volunteer workday at Andrews Community Forest to remove multiflora rose, planned for Saturday from about 9–11 a.m. The Chair urged members and the public to attend and noted the difficulty of the site after recent rain; members discussed cutting, stump-pulling and nonchemical options and flagged the need for appropriate tools (trimmers with blades, loppers, gloves) and safety considerations for thorny rose removal.
