Fire chief details new scheduling software, recent resignations and promotion planning
Fire Chief Kopp described new scheduling software to better track overtime and reduce human error, reported a recent veteran lieutenant resignation and the resulting acting assignments, and asked the commission whether to hold a special meeting for promotion interviews.

Fire Chief Kopp told the commission the fire department will adopt a new scheduling software intended to improve tracking of overtime and reduce manual errors. "We're getting a few more options in the software... we're looking forward to using it, and being able to be more accurate with some of our details as far as overtime and what's causing it," he said.
