Board approves Bowman proposal to replace community monuments and signage
Summary
The Board approved Bowman Consulting Group's proposal for landscape architecture services to replace Pelican Sound monuments and signage; neighborhood replacements to be funded from Pelican Sound replacement reserves and some monuments will be relocated.
Eric Long presented the Bowman Consulting Group proposal for the Pelican Sound Master Signage Program, which calls for replacement of monuments across the community and neighborhood signage updates. Mr. Long said neighborhood monument replacements, permitting and design costs are budgeted under Pelican Sound replacement reserves. District Engineer Charlie Krebs noted some monuments will be relocated and that the Southern Hills monument placement requires adjustment.
On motion by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Schultz, the Board approved the Bowman proposal. The motion and approval were recorded without amendment; staff will coordinate permitting and notify neighborhoods as designs progress.
