The Westford Conservation Commission voted unanimously on April 22 to issue a partial Certificate of Compliance for the Orchard Church site at 130 and 134 Littleton Road.
Tom Hughes of Hughes Environmental Consulting told the Commission that site development, pavement, drainage, structures and general site grading are complete but that ongoing work remains: meadow management, plantings, invasive-species control and trail establishment. After discussing precise certificate wording to reflect those outstanding items, the Commission approved issuing a partial certificate by a 7-0-0 roll-call vote.
The decision allows the property owner to document completed infrastructure work while keeping formal requirements in place for landscape and habitat restoration. The Commission’s action was prompted by a recent site visit by commissioners Wheeler, Frank, Gozzo and Harnett and supporting as-built documents presented by the applicant.
The Commission did not set a new completion date in the public minutes; remaining restoration tasks were described as ongoing.
