Ferrisburgh developers add fire pond and hydrants after Fire Department review
After consulting the Ferrisburgh Fire Department, project designers placed a central fire pond and added hydrants and access; applicant estimated the pond would supply about 600,000 gallons for firefighting.

Project consultants told the ZBA that following Fire Department feedback they revised the site plan to include a centrally sited fire pond and additional hydrants and access lanes. Applicant Johnathan Couture said the pond would provide approximately 600,000 gallons for fighting fires in the local area, and that the courtyard-style layout uses the buildings to screen the operations.
