Zoning board reapproves Douglas Sweets bakery permit with occupancy limit on accessory apartment

The Ferrisburgh Zoning Board of Adjustment reapproved an expired Conditional Use permit (originally #23-023) for a commercial bakery at Park Lane Lot #2 on Aug. 6, 2025. Carl Cole, representing Douglas Sweets with written authorization from owner Hannah Townsend, told the board that wastewater, stormwater and Act 250 permits previously outstanding have now been approved. On that basis the board voted, on motion by Dave Mentzer and seconded by Diane Nadon, to approve Application #25-070 with conditions; the motion passed unanimously.
