Mayor: audit complete; county extends grant deadline to support sewer extension
Mayor Kennedy Horstman told the council the city audit is complete, Finance Director Wanda Grone departs Oct. 15, and Island County extended a Rural Economic Development Grant deadline to Dec. 31, 2025 to support LIP-funded sewer extension to Decker, Furman and part of Edgecliff.

Mayor Kennedy Horstman reported that the city audit has been completed and will be presented to the council after review by the Finance and Personnel Legislative Commission. She also noted that Finance Director Wanda Grone’s last day with the city will be Oct. 15.
