Peak building art allocation in minutes revised down after updated project estimate

During approval of the February minutes a member flagged the minutes’ budget reference that listed a $100,000 allocation for the Peak building art. Staff explained that the $100,000 figure had come from an earlier $10 million project estimate (1% for art), but more current cost estimates show the downstairs portion at about $4,000,000 and additional upstairs work at about $1,000,000. That produces an art allocation closer to $50,000, staff said: "So that's where that 50,000 is now listed."
The board noted the change and agreed to discuss prioritization at the May packet. Staff said the minutes reflected what was recorded at the earlier meeting but the updated estimate will inform the board’s next procurement and RFP decisions.
