Selectboard approves routine events, trusteeship and road improvement request

The board approved a facility use request for a July 11 community dinner and dance (campaign speaker planned), a picnic event at Ascutney Outdoors, appointed Ryan Thompson to the library board through Dec. 31, 2026, and approved a Moonlighters Snowmobile Club request to improve a segment of West Rowe Hill Road at no cost to the town.

At its June 8 meeting the Selectboard approved multiple routine items: a facility use agreement for a Community Dinner & Dance at Story Memorial Hall on July 11 (the event is sponsored by Rep. Elizabeth Burrows, who said she would speak for "about 10 minutes"); an event application for the Lincoln Street Company picnic at Ascutney Outdoors on August 20; and the appointment of Ryan Thompson to the Mary L. Blood Memorial Library Board of Trustees to fill a vacancy through December 31, 2026. The board also approved the West Windsor Moonlighters Snowmobile Club’s request to improve a segment of West Rowe Hill Road at no cost to the town to allow safer snowmobile crossings.
