The Court authorized staff to issue requests for proposals (RFPs) for administrative services and requests for qualifications (RFQs) for engineering services related to the Texas Department of Agriculture's 2025 Colonia Fund Construction program. Nelda Barrera told the Court the program provides $1,000,000 in funding with no county match and focuses on water and wastewater infrastructure; the application deadline is Dec. 2, 2024. Commissioner Martin "Marty" Cabrera moved the motion and Commissioner Eduardo "Eddie" Garza seconded; the vote was unanimous.
