The Hernando‑Citrus MPO board voted unanimously to approve a roll‑forward amendment to the Transportation Improvement Program for fiscal years 2026 through 2030 and authorized the chair to sign the Florida Department of Transportation letter accompanying the amendment.
“This annual routine process involves a Roll Forward Amendment, which includes projects and or funding that did not get encumbered in 2025, or require adjustment in 2026 to be consistent with the FDOT work program,” MPO Director Bob Esposito said during the presentation. After a brief opportunity for public input and board questions, a motion and second were followed by a roll‑call vote that recorded seven ayes and no nays.
The amendment is reflected in appendix A of the TIP and covers projects in highways, transit and miscellaneous categories. Esposito said the MPO staff concurs with the amendment as presented and that the board’s approval would allow staff to execute the necessary letter to FDOT. The board took no amendments prior to the vote.
The board’s next steps are administrative: finalize the TIP document, sign the FDOT letter and move forward with implementation steps tied to the projects listed in the roll‑forward appendix. No public comments were recorded on the item at the meeting.
