During the public-comment period Meghan Wright (2499 NW River Valley Rd., Towanda) asked the Board about protest petitions in Butler County and invited commissioners to two upcoming events: a Community Prayer Meeting at the Kansas Oil Museum on May 7 at 6:00 p.m., and an event titled "Protecting the Heartland" at Goddard High School Auditorium on May 12 at 7:00 p.m. Wright and her daughter presented small bags of cookies to the Board.
