Board recommends five-year SkyWest lease under same terms as American

Don told the board he offered SkyWest the same five-year lease terms negotiated with American Airlines to ensure parity among carriers; SkyWest does not currently lease a garage area for deicing equipment but a bay exists if needed. He estimated the five-year revenue from SkyWest at about $2,018,351 and noted the income is new to the airport because no prior lease existed.
The board moved and recommended the SkyWest lease and operating agreement to council and approved the recommendation by voice vote. Don said staff will amend the lease if SkyWest later requests additional space such as a storage/garage bay for deicing equipment.
