Bee Cave council voids PGAL contract, cites procurement violations; directs termination talks
Bee Cave City Council unanimously voted to void the PGAL contract for the public‑safety building after discovery showed PGAL switched engineering services during procurement in a way council said violated the Professional Services Procurement Act. Council also authorized staff and the city attorney to negotiate termination terms.

Mayor King told the council that discovery in related litigation showed the former city manager required PGAL to replace its engineering partner during the RFQ process, creating an appearance of illegal procurement and undermining trust in the project. Mayor King moved to declare the contract void under the Professional Services Procurement Act; council members seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
