Council backs concept plan to boost pedestrian safety at Riverside Crossing Park
Council approved a concept plan to add mounded boulders, trees, benches and an additional internal pedestrian walkway along Riverside Drive to improve event and pedestrian safety; staff said the project is within the current $2.8M CIP allocation and will return with final design before bidding.

Council endorsed a design concept on June 8 to improve pedestrian safety and event infrastructure at Riverside Crossing Park. Staff proposed a perimeter scheme of trees, planted mounds, boulders and seating to block vehicle access into park event areas, plus an additional internal walkway to separate pedestrians from Riverside Drive traffic.
