City leaders administered oaths of office to Eddie Allen (mayor) and newly seated council members, and the council confirmed committee and liaison assignments, including the mayor as COG representative and Amanda Cross as conference center liaison.

At the May 11 meeting the council administered oaths of office for mayor Eddie Allen and council members Rex Hoskins (Place 1), Amanda Cross (Place 3) and Mike McQuiston (Place 5). The oath was led by the city clerk and each new member recited the standard statutory oath.
