During the organizational meeting the board considered appointment of a representative to the Manistee Local Revenue Sharing Board. "Moved by Machen, seconded by Gustad to re-appoint Jeff Dontz as the Board of Commissioner’s Representative on the Manistee Local Revenue Sharing Board for 2026," the minutes record. The motion carried with six yeas and one nay (Richard Schmidt).
