Ionia County adopts updated recreation plan
The Ionia County Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted the county recreation plan on Nov. 26, 2024, by roll call vote. Commissioners said the plan will guide parks and recreation projects and help meet grant eligibility requirements.

The Ionia County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt the countywide recreation plan during its Nov. 26 meeting. Dave Bee presented the resolution and Commissioner Jack Shattuck moved to adopt it; Commissioner Gordon Kelley supported the motion and the board approved the resolution on a roll call vote with all seven commissioners recorded as voting yes.
