Board authorizes title search and forester assessment for several county parcels
Kalkaska County authorized a title search (not to exceed $9,999) and directed the County Forester to assess timber value for multiple county parcels, including a 73‑acre tract by Perch Lake and an 80‑acre Adams Rd parcel.

At the Oct. 9 committee meeting County Administrator David Schaeffer presented valuation estimates and disposition options for several county-owned parcels. The Board authorized a title search not to exceed $9,999 (motion by Robert Baldwin, supported by Truman Bicum) and directed the County Forester to assess timber value on all properties discussed (motion by Baldwin, supported by David Comai). Both actions were passed by consensus with no opposition.
