Mountrail County adopts multiple HR policy changes recommended by HR Advisory Committee
The board approved several employee policy updates on May 6, including revisions to employee relations, travel, annual leave, maternity accommodations, nursing mother breaks and inclement weather policies; HRAC will review bereavement and leave-without-pay proposals.

The Mountrail County Commission adopted multiple updates to the county’s employee policies following recommendations from the Human Resource Advisory Committee. Randi Schumaier, Human Resource Generalist, presented the committee’s recommendations; the board approved changes to Policy #103 (Employee Relations and Job Classification), #208 (Travel), #303 (Annual Leave), #321 (Maternity Related Accommodations and Absences), #322 (Nursing Mother Breaks), and #519 (Inclement Weather & Emergency Closing).
