During the Unfinished Business portion of the March 11 meeting, the Board received updates on lake level control structures across three lake districts. The record notes Lake St. Helen staff "met with engineers" and still expect to seek bids in 2026; Higgins Lake’s Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) on March 18, 2026, to discuss a new structure or a restrictor plate; and for Houghton Lake the board needs to decide on material for a walkway.
